Co-designing immunisation services with students with disability

Vax4Health is a research project that uses a co-design approach to develop immunisation services. It is led by researchers from the UNSW Kirby Institute and involves young people with disability, parents, nurses and paediatricians.

Good Point Design was invited to visualise five stories that describe common scenarios experienced when sexual health vaccinations are due to be administered to young people with intellectual disabilities. The stories were based on interviews with 50 different stakeholders and involve the young people, their parents, teachers and nurses. They were to be printed on posters and used as focal points for discussion in upcoming workshops. The layout needed to be clear, simple and accessible, while also keeping a focus on the people at the centre of each story.
